Six week workshop series with Dave Pentin
Cornish Artist Dave Pentin uses an unusual gum and acrylic ink technique to paint landscapes.
During the workshops he teaches his unique painting technique which uses a series of alternating layers, applying a gum arabic masking solution, followed by washes of permanent acrylic ink until the original picture has disappeared. The painting is then washed off to reveal what is underneath.
Dave will be teaching his unusual gum and acrylic ink technique throughout 2020 for a number of taster workshops and a unique series of six 2hr workshops concentrating on building a more complex multiple layered large piece of work. All are limited to 10 places
During this 6-week course, Dave will help students progress their gum and ink work from stretching paper, deciding on a composition, colour mixing, sketching out, layering with ink and applying a gum mask.
