Diane King
Diane King’s artistic career has developed over the last twelve years around a career in Education and Children’s services. Diane is a qualified teacher with thirty years of experience. She works mainly in watercolour, oils, and mixed media. Her highly prized work features in National and International exhibitions, threading her experiences of visiting places as far apart as Africa and Scotland where the light in each place is so very different. She enjoys the privilege of offering tuition and workshops in drawing and painting to others.
In the autumn of 2015, Diane was involved in supporting Bill Viola’s Elements exhibition at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. She has completed commissioned work by the world-famous cruise companies P&O and Cunard and offers tuition during cruises. Her paintings capture the range of sailing experiences from the Norwegian Fjords to the Caribbean islands. Diane has also graduated from a part-time Fine Art and Textiles BA Hons at Manchester College of Art five years ago and her work has gone from strength to strength.
Diane is also an appointed member of the Professional Artists team of the Society of All Artists( S.A.A). Her work has been featured in the publications ” Paint” and “ The Artist” and often features on the painters on her website.
